Terms of Use
The service scope, user responsibilities, content ownership, backups, third-party content, and dispute terms for PickMD.
1. Service scope
PickMD imports, opens, reads, organizes, searches, styles, exports, and shares Markdown files. Available features depend on version v1.0. There is currently no account system. Additional terms may apply before future online services are introduced.
2. User responsibility and prohibited conduct
Users are responsible for content they import, create, export, or share. PickMD must not be used to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; create or distribute unlawful content; compromise device or network security; evade technical safeguards; or conduct unlawful activity. This does not improperly restrict research, interoperability, or backup activity permitted by law.
3. User content and ownership
Markdown, images, and other imported content remain with their original rights holders. Local processing does not transfer ownership to PickMD. Users must have the right to open, edit, export, and share the content they choose.
4. Local files, exports, and backups
Users should keep backups appropriate to the importance of their files. Deleting documents, clearing app data, uninstalling, system failure, device damage, or low storage may cause loss. The current Android project contains a system-backup configuration, but release behavior and recovery results are [待核实] and do not replace an independent backup.
5. Third-party links and remote content
Remote images, external links, and system-share destinations are provided by third parties. Their availability, security, and data practices are outside the developer's direct control. Users decide whether to visit or share and should review the recipient's terms and privacy policy.
6. Intellectual property
The PickMD program, interface, marks, documentation, and original developer content are protected by applicable law. Open-source components remain subject to their licenses, which are published on this site.
7. Changes and termination
The app may change for product, security, legal, or platform reasons. Important changes affecting users will be explained appropriately. If maintenance or a service ends, users will receive a reasonable opportunity to export or back up local data where practicable, except in urgent security, legal, or force-majeure situations.
8. Disclaimers and limitations
To the extent permitted by law, PickMD is provided as available. Third-party files and remote resources may fail, and Markdown extensions may render differently across platforms. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury where applicable.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of mainland China. The parties should first attempt good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes are submitted to the competent court at Shenzhen, China, without excluding any mandatory consumer venue right.
